Before establishing her own practice, Rubaina gained valuable experience at Schofield Macchia, where she worked on and litigated a broad range of serious and complex criminal matters. Her experience includes drug and firearm-related prosecutions, complex bail hearings and bail reviews, sentencing hearings, Charter litigation, Garofoli applications, search warrant litigation, and other contested criminal proceedings requiring detailed preparation and strategic advocacy.
Rubaina is a graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, where she received the Honourable Walter S. Tarnopolsky Award for her commitment to equality and human rights. She also served as a criminal law judicial intern with judges of the Ontario Court of Justice.
